MPPT Care: Admin Panel
A centralized Laravel and Filament admin panel that runs MPPT Care's after sales solar service operations: requests, staff assignments, pricing, warranty and repair lab work.
The problem
The service team needed one place to see every request and complaint, assign jobs to field staff and follow each one to completion.
Service types and prices changed often, and the business needed to manage them, along with warranties and repair work, without asking a developer every time.
What I built
- Overview of all service requests and complaints, with status from booking to completion
- Job assignment to field staff
- Automatic customer notifications on status changes
- Role based access control for different staff roles
- Admin managed services and pricing, with no code changes needed
- Customer, staff, service area, payment and feedback management
- Warranty tracking
- Lab module that tracks each product's work in progress through the repair process
Technical challenges
Letting the business change pricing without a release
- Problem
- Service types and prices changed often, and hard coding them meant an app update for every change.
- Solution
- Moved services and pricing into database driven configuration managed from Filament. The apps read them from the API, so changes go live immediately.
Giving each staff role the right access
- Problem
- Different people on the team handle different parts of the operation, and not everyone should see or change everything.
- Solution
- Defined roles and permissions in the admin panel, so each staff role only sees and edits the parts of the system it is responsible for.
